Gavin Lewis (Tedipus/Laius/Sphinxy/Teiresias)
Gavin is proud to be making his 1/2-a-block-from-Broadway debut! His turn-ons include a good personality, nice smile, and a strong sense of self. He has never exercised his right to vote. His hobbies are finding new uses for old containers, and swimming. Gavin believes life can be viewed as a comedy or tragedy and that if there is a God he/she/it is a "celestial clock maker". Influences: Black Sabbath, silent film, and tuna. He is a proud member of Actor's Equity. He holds an MFA from Wayne State University thus proving you can’t go home again.
"Quit looking at me with your Goddamn Motherf*%$ing Eyes!"

Reed Prescott (Oedipus)
Broadway:  You may recognize Reed from callbacks to such shows as Mamma Mia!, Little Women, and Rent; open calls for Phantom, Les Miz, and Wicked, and at the ticket lottery for Avenue Q.   Off B’way / Festivals / Workshops: Wicked City Blues (York Theatre), Snap (Rattlestick Theatre), I Google Myself (various locations) and Frankenstein, do you dream? (NYMF2004). Off-Off B’way: Kiss and Cry ("Ethan", Theater Ten Ten), and Mushroom in Her Hands ("Charles Dodgson").  He was also an original cast member of BareRegional: Deathtrap ("Clifford"), Advice From A Caterpillar ("Brat"), Three Years from "Thirty" ("Bart"), The Seagull ("Treplev"), Summer and Smoke ("John Buchanan"), Into the Woods ("C.Prince/Wolf"), Sweeney Todd ("Tobias"), Camelot ("Mordred"), Meet Me In St. Louis ("John Truitt"),  Little Shop of Horrors ("Dentist"), and Saturday Night ("Bobby" West Coast Premiere). TV / Film: Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Neverland and The Virgin Larry. Commercials: Sony, Washington Mutual, The United Way, and Sony Playstation 2; but none of them are running currently. Which means no residuals.  Which means you'll have to take him out to eat after the show.  And if you listen really really hard, you can hear Reed sing on The Southpark Christmas CD (Marc Shaiman, producer), as well as numerous radio jingles throughout the country. As a writer, Reed has co-penned the cabaret act ME and the Boys and the Ragtime parody: Snacktime (based on The Food Network).  www.ReedPrescott.com
Genevieve Wiley (Assistant Director)
Genevieve Wiley has been producing and directing in her native Texas since 1997. In the past she has directed through various theatres and educational institutions One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Midsummer Nights Dream, The Zoo Story, Romeo and Juliet, some children's theatre, several new works and of course Oedipus Rex. After her graduation from The University of Texas at Austin with a BFA in theatre studies she moved to New York and has been a producer with The Shakespeare Project, Nederlander Worldwide Productions, and currently with Dan Rather Reports. This is her first East coast endeavor into her artistic theatrical dreams and she could not be more excited about these rockin people she gets to work with.
Scot Sexton (Percussion)
Scot Sexton has been a drummer for over 15 years. Past productions include Ain't Misbehaven, Godspell, Joseph, Pippin and The Cleveland Caberet Project, among many others. He is pleased to be making his NYC debut with OEDIPUS FOR KIDS!

Past employment includes The Irish Repertory Theatre, The Culture Project, San Francisco Shakespeare Festival, and the American Stage Festival.
Robert J. Saferstein (Composer)
is an accomplished multimedia artist who has been composing for years. With the intention of creating deep and moving musicals like this one, Saferstein embarked on the most obvious path towards musical theatre fame: the pursuit of a BFA in Photography and Imaging from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. His subsequent musical composition credits include: Bronfman Center Gallery (Director, Curator); Anthology Film Archives (Research); Studio Martone (Asst. Art Director); NBC/Universal (Research); TV Guide (Art Dept.); Music Video Production Association Awards (Art Dept., Asst. Stage Manager); and the films Sweet Sensation (Art Director) and Still Life (On-Set Dresser, Still Photographer). His photographs and multimedia installations have been shown at the PooL Art Fair, the AAF Contemporary Art Fair, the School of Visual Arts, and New York University. Unfortunately, none of these efforts yielded a "real" musical, so instead he conceded to finish the score for this show.
Gil Varod (Lyricist/Bookwriter)
is possibly best known for the website broadwayabridged.com . His work has been seen in New York Theatres such as the Tank, the Kraine and New York University, and he founded Shakespeare in the Line and NYU's Shmutz Theatrical Troupe. In 2005 his play, Passing Aggressing, played at the Pearl St. Theatre and made his mother and father incredibly happy. And really, that's what it's all about, right? Right. Now onto those MILF jokes...
