Going into its third year, NYMF really deserved a look—and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the eight shows seen (out of 34). Favorites include Journey to the West, Desperate Measures, The Children, and Oedipus for Kids.

We stopped serving it when it hit our 11PM show; we figured that during the Midnight intermission, people who want real coffee would be angry to have such strange bad coffee.

- One of the running gags in Oedipus for Kids is that the show is sponsored by Beanz, "the coffee for kids!" The product placements throughout the production are quite fun; but truly inspired is that the crew serve the audience Beanz Coffee during intermission. I was foolish enough to drink some—and discovered it was a hideous mix of actual coffee and Cherry Kool-Aid.
